This 6mm bangle is constructed on a sterling silver base under the mosaic patterning. The mosaic is made from: 22k yellow, 14k rose and green gold and Mokume Gane overlays. The stripe patterning is Mokume Gane and made with shadudo (a gold and copper alloy) The wood grain pattern is made with 18k green, 14k rose and 14k white golds.

This stunning bangle has 3 rose cut diamonds and was designed as a surprise anniversary gift for someone who already owns several of my pieces.

The existing band in this project was an 8mm mosaic band with five melee diamonds scattered around the band. The customer saw this ring paired with a plain engagement band with a 1/4 carat brilliant diamond mounted on a diagonal like the rustic diamond is shown. She did not want to purchase two rings but liked the diagonal mounting of the stone. So the final design was taking the existing band and mounting a rustic diamond on a diagonal to the front of the ring.

A customer saw my large pear rustic diamond mounted on a 12mm wide band but did not feel she could wear a ring that wide. It is almost impossible to find those stones as an exact match. I took the existing stone off my 12mm ring design and designed an 8mm band that mimicked the mosaic patterning in the original ring. It was rendered in a smaller scale she felt she could wear. This is a photoshop rendering showing how the new design would look in a 8mm band.

The customer had a ring from her mother with baguette diamonds and sapphires. She wanted a ring made from some of the stones in her mother’s ring. We chose the 3 baguette diamonds and paired them with square rose cut diamonds to come up with the design below.

The customer wanted get have a mosaic ring design made incorporating gold and stones that were in her mother’s ring as a keep sake.The yellow gold carved pieces were made from her mother’s plain gold half round wedding band. They were carved to resemble mountains as the customer is a mountaineering guide in the French Alps. The white diamonds were recycled from her mother’s rings and two blue were added to round out the design.
