This 10mm wide band includes 14k white gold rails and sterling band under the mosaic. The mosaic is made from: 22k yellow, 14k rose and green gold and Mokume Gane overlays. The stripe patterning is Mokume Gane and made with shadudo (a gold and copper alloy) The wood grain pattern is made with 18k green, 14k rose and 14k white golds. The ring has six diamonds.
The customer wanted get have a mosaic ring design made incorporating gold and stones that were in her mother’s ring as a keep sake.The yellow gold carved pieces were made from her mother’s plain gold half round wedding band. They were carved to resemble mountains as the customer is a mountaineering guide in the French Alps. The white diamonds were recycled from her mother’s rings and two blue were added to round out the design.
